Consisting of five sizable rock outcrops made of marble, each mountain is said to represent a natural element and is named accordingly: Mount of Metal, Mount of Water, Mount of Fire, Mount of Wood, and Mount of Earth. The largest and most famous is the Mount of Water, which has a number of natural caves that have been used for Hindu and Buddhist sanctuaries over the centuries.
